Book Review of Horse Diaries: Penny

Penny is a horse who joins the Pony Express to deliver mail.   My favourite character in the book is Penny because I love horses.  She is brave and loves a challenge.  Delivering mail for the Pony Express is a tough job because she has to do it in the snow and many other weathers.  

Penny is a blue-eyed palomino paint mare.  She is young and can run really fast.  Jesse is a boy who rides her and is searching for gold with his grandpa. 

There are many more books like this in the series like Elska, Bell's Star, Koda, Luna, Cinders and Calvino.  I have read 3 so far.

This is a good book.  The story is told from Penny's view.  If you are a kid that likes horses this might be a good series for you.
